Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Workshop Coordinator to join our passionate Maintenance team in Skellefteå.

In joining us you will play an important part in executing and coordinating workshop activities such as organization, purchasing and tool management with the ultimate goal of starting one of the first large scale European battery factories. Northvolt will play an important role in the transformation to a carbon free society.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ordering and managing all tools
  • Creating and continuing workshop organisation, ensuring that everything in the workshop has a permanent location OR a temporary label with a date and action required
  • Lifting equipment and required paperwork
  • Lifting register and inspection of lifting devices
  • Safety equipment and required paperwork (such as safety valve register)
  • Management and registration of safety harnesses and devices
  • Cutting discs register and inspections
  • Writing procedures and method statements for standard tasks like use of lifting equipment
  • Researching what to buy and where from based on request from Maintenance Supervisors or Maintenance Manager and following up on said orders
  • Help to coordinate grey areas with facilities
  • Re-ordering and following up on consumables
  • Organising lockout equipment
  • Ensure all chemicals bought and used by the maintenance are registered in iChemistry
  • Support labelling the building and equipment within it.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications/education/experience

  • Three years industrial gymnasium or similar.
  • Fluency in English
  • Elementary computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Previous experience in maintenance or production, minimum 2 years.
  • Valuable (but not required) if fluency in other languages, including Swedish

Specific skills:

  • Good technical knowledge about mechanical, automation, hydraulic and pneumatic.

  • Proven skills in working with continuous improvements in industrial environment.

  • Hot work certificate
